School Choir & Band

Walliston PS Band

Walliston School band has a great reputation in our community, and we actively collaborate with other schools in our area. We have connections with Kalamunda Youth Swing Band and our local high schools. Many of our band members will go on to play in these bands.

Choir

Walliston Primary School Choir has a great reputation in our community. By joining the school choir students have the chance to build their confidence and meet other like-minded individuals.

Working in an ensemble with their teacher Ms Bushby they will develop their aural skills through learning scales and intervals. Students are taught a range of skills such as building tone quality, pitch and range control. Choir provides students with the opportunity to learn basic vocal technique and focuses on developing students’ abilities to sing in tune and in parts.

Singing in the school choir gives students the opportunity to sing a variety of songs from different styles and cultures and learn performance skills. Choir also builds thinking skills such as concentration, memory and listening.

The Choir will be singing at community events, assemblies, making and performing music for our school and participating in the end of year school productions.
